I think that what you said was very reasonable. But, what about this? suppose you composed a catchier title? I mean, I don't want to tell you how to run your blog, but suppose you added a post title to possibly get people's attention? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is kinda plain. You might glance at Yahoo's home page and see how they write article titles to get people to open the links. You might add a video or a pic or two to get readers interested about everything've written. In my opinion, it might make your website a little bit more interesting.
